I first tried Centerpiece as I was looking for an easy all-in-1 product for travel. Centerpiece did not disappoint. It's easy to apply and effectively gives me a great blowout and heat protection. I am done with prep creams and will be using this as my go-to from now on.
I like simplicity in my routine and Centerpiece does the work of a light protein treatment (due to the amino acids, a kind of protein tolerated by most hair types, though those with coarser, drier hair should, as always, be cautious with protein), a subtly volumizing and texturizing sugar spray (due to the sugarcane extract), and a mild conditioner (due to the cetearyl alcohol--a good, fatty alcohol--the sea buckthorn oil, and the hyaluronic acid). The formulation doesn't weigh down my easily-weighed-down, low porosity hair and provides just enough slip for detangling with a wide-tooth comb. Blow drying tends to amplify its effects but it works well for air drying, too. It also seems to be effective on both damp and dry hair, which is a major plus, since I wash my hair once a week and can use it as a refresher between washes. Although I prefer unscented products (will you ever make any fragrance-free versions, R+Co?), the fragrance in this one doesn't seem offensively strong to me (I did not fare so well with Rainless) and doesn't project, though it does tend to linger in my hair, as most scents do. This truly well-formulated all-in-one will definitely be a cornerstone in my hair care as long as R+Co keeps making it.
